SPACE Sessional Youth Worker

£8.96 per hour

SPACE is a project that has been set up in partnership by Bedford Borough Council, Project 229 and Families First Bedfordshire. It provides fortnightly access to a youth provision and holiday clubs specifically for children and young people affected by domestic abuse. We are looking for experienced Youth Workers to staff the evening youth groups and holiday clubs. In order to apply you will need to be an excellent communicator and have a good understanding of the impact of adverse childhood experiences on children and young people. You will also be able to work flexible hours when required, including evenings (on average once a fortnight) and school holidays. Most importantly you will be able to engage positively with children and  young people and have the capacity to make relationship-building central to your work.
