On behalf of the Trustees of Families First Bedfordshire, I have pleasure in presenting this exciting new 3 year strategy for the Charity. It clearly sets out our vision together with realistic and achievable priorities for supporting children and families in our community. The Strategy builds even further on the work,
reputation and experience of the Charity gained over the past 30 years or so.

We are very fortunate to have a team of Trustees who bring many years of experience in various fields of the private sector and public service. They are all committed to the successful development of the Charity and taking it from strength to strength. I feel very privileged to be part of this team.

Working very closely with the Chief Executive, Trustees have ensured the Charity has moved forward in its strategic development as a provider of excellent, wide-ranging family support. This work is delivered by experienced and competent staff and volunteers working together to make things better for all the people accessing our services.

The next three years promise to be both exciting and challenging but we have a clear direction of travel and I know we will be successful.

Christine Cole
Chair of Trustees

I am delighted to share with you Families First Bedfordshire’s new 3 year strategy, “Aim High”.

Myself, the senior team, staff and Trustees have worked very hard over the last several years in securing our future. This included several applications for grants and contracts the majority of which, were successful! The stability in our funding for the next few years now means that we can really focus our efforts on developing and shaping the future of the Charity.

The staff at FfB are tremendous in what they achieve with the resources we have. The centre and nursery are always bustling with families and children and it is a delight to be a part of this.

We are excited about our future and I hope you will get a sense of this in the strategic priorities we have chosen. We want to grow and achieve new things, we need to adapt to the changing needs of families in Bedfordshire and we must do this in partnership.

It is a privilege to lead FfB onto a new strategic journey and I thank the staff and Trustees for their continued support.

Michael Howe
Chief Executive
